The exhibtion “Communication” opened in Uzhgorod…

The exhibition of works of the first International Symposium "Communication" opened in the Art Center "Ilko Gallery" in Uzhgorod.

The event was preceded by a two-week symposium held in Svalyava. The art event attracted more than 40 Ukrainian artists from Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathia, Odessa and artists from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Transcarpathia, in particular, was represented by artists Petro Ryaska, Pavlo Kovacs, Ruslan Tremba, Emma Tremba, Victor Melnychuk, Beata Korn, Vladislav Gabda, Eduard Prikhodko.

The symposium was not focused on plein-airism, did not limited the participants, allowing them to work outside the metropolis within their worldview. Moreover, the organizers intended to create a discussion platform that would attract artists, art critics, collectors and curators to discuss communication problems in different areas of contemporary artistic process. And they succeeded.

The exhibition in Uzhgorod is actually the first attempt to visualize the symposium in a single exposition space. So, now viewers can assess the works that are the result of the artists’ communication.
