The event “Development of civil society: best practices for Transcarpathia” will be held in Uzhgorod

"Development of civil society: best practices for Transcarpathia"

According to the Presidential Decree number 68/2016 of February 26, 2016 "On the promotion of civil society development in Ukraine," regional state administrations shall develop and regional councils shall approve the regional target programs for promotion of civil society.

The program of civil society development can be an effective tool to support non-government organizations in the region, to ensure effective partnership of civil society and the government. Thje UCIPR has a long experience in development of such regional programs using best practices. It is also necessary to ensure a broad discussion of the draft program with the participation of the representatives of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Regional Council, representatives of civil society.

Representatives of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Regional Council deputies, experts and media representatives are invited to participate in the round table.

The program of the round table provides for discussion of the following issues:

• best practices of regional programs for civil society development in Ukraine;
• priority measures of the Transcarpathian regional program to promote civil society development;
• financing of regional programs of civil society development.

The round table will be held on December 9, 2016, in the premises of the Transcarpathian Regional Council (the city of Uzhgorod, Narodna Sq., 4, conference room, 5th floor).
