Today, around 12.00, a car and a motorcycle collided on Gagarin street in Uzhgorod. One person was injured.
The policemen, who arrived at the scene, found out that the 87-year-old driver of the VAZ 2107 had violated the traffic rules by making a U-turn across the solid line, resulting in the collision with a motorcycle.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the motorcycle was injured. The man was hospitalized to Uzhgorod District Hospital.
The elderly man, who was allegedly responsible for the accident, refused from medical help, but later appealed for medical care himself with minor bruises, – the patrol police of Transcarpathian region reported.
The patrol policemen an investigative team to the scene of the accident to determine further circumstances.
