Law enforcement officers initiated an investigation over the accident that occurred on October 4 in Uzhgorod. The police are asking witnesses of the accident for help in the search for the driver.
On October 4, at 21.12, the police was reported that in Uzhgorod at the intersection of Zahorska-Osipenko streets, a car had hit a pedestrian. The driver fled from the accident scene in an unknown direction.
As a result of the accident, the victim sufferred a polytrauma, now he is in intensive care. The police began an investigation into the accident. At present, a criminal proceding has been opened under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the traffic rules that caused bodily harm to the victim).
