On March 26, the country celebrates the Day of the National Guard of Ukraine. Actually, this is the first anniversary of the renewed military structure.
On this occasion, on Wednesday, March 25 the celebrations took place at the base of the National Guard battalion in Uzhgorod. The personnel lined=up on the parade ground. The Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Olexander Glushchenko congratulated the servicemen and awarded them with diplomas, cash prizes and medals for long service. The Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council Mykhailo Popovich handed diplomas and gratitudes on behalf of the Transcarpathian Regional Council and the Regional State Administration.
During the celebrations, they remembered the killed soldiers of the National Guard, thanked the military for decent service and wished them to preserve their best qualities – patriotism, courage, professionalism and confidence in victory.
