Campaigning on the day preceding the election is prohibited by law.
All billboards, posters and leaflets with political slogans should be removed. Municipal services partially took over this task on Friday, but the bulk of the work is carried out in the morning on Saturday.
Of course, the concert on Poshtova Square added the work, obviously there was a lot to clean up there.
But most bothersome are fences covered with political advertising materials.
However the city has almost got rid of rich and colorful propaganda stuff. However, some electioneerers are too smart – e.g. in Uzhgorod there are billboards that call to vote, using key words of the famous election slogan: formally the law is not violated, but it is clear which political force it is about.
In any case, today city utilities are bothered more by political garbage than natural one – first of all they remove campaigning materials, not leaves.
