The convicted Transcarpathian reminded about himself (DOCUMENT)

Journalist Roman Bochkola appealed to the Ukrainian authorities with the request to help our compatriot:

"It will be the sixth Christmas, that our fellow Transcarpathian Edward Chikosh will spent in an Arab prison in Egypt. He is being held there on false charges of terrorism. Everybody knows about this situation, the official Ukraine condemns the actions of the Egyptian government. But that does not help Edward, he is still in prison. The Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin also knows about it, and he said recently that he would make all efforts to free Chikosh. But Edward decided to remind about himself. He asked to give Klimkin greetings on Christmas and New Year. But to be honest, it’s up to the President, not the minister. Although, I am not sure that the President knows about the situation. And the man is rotting… Fading. Our citizen. The letter contains not only the best wishes, but also vivid description of the conditions of detention in Egyptian prison. Everyone should read it. Please, do it and try to influence the situation, if your professional status allows. We, Ukrainians, do not leave our own behind, do we? Please, repost. And Merry Christmas! May God be with you!".

Recall that the Transcarpathia was sentenced to 25 years in prison on charges of aiding terrorists. 

In early December, MP Robert Horvat appealed to the President with the request to assist in this matter.
