During the last week, one kilometer stretch of the road was concreted, three bridges were renovated, and on June 2, the repair work in the border zone started. During the next week, the work in the border zone will continue, and then the construction of drainage ditches will begin, Biro Wenzel, Velyka Palad village head informed.
The progress of the work on the ground was inspected by Jozsef Buhaylo, the Consul General of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod, Jozsef Barta – the Deputy Chairman of the KMKS and Carol Rezesh – a representative of the Transcarpathian Regional Council.
On the Hungarian side, in the village Nagyhodos, where the border crossing point will be situated, the road and bike path have already been built, and the construction of the border crossing point will begin soon.
