The construction of the only social facility in Transcarpathia – the hospice – is being completed in Vynogradiv. A modern European clinic. For the grant funds.
Vynogradiv district began working to build a hospice in 2009. They had a noble goal – to help terminally ill patients not with isolated actions, but with daily care. Last year, they began the construction-reconstructing of the former headquarters of the military unit into the building for medical purposes. All that was done within the project Institutional cooperation between Vynogradiv district and Sanotska county in Poland on the development of palliative care system with the financial support of the CBC Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013.
Thus, weekly visiting meetings and monitoring of the construction of the future Regional Center of Palliative Care have been held by the working committee consisting of representatives of the authorities, the construction company, Vynogradiv district local development agency. The grantors also regularly come here – the European Commission also monitors the progress and spending. The construction is carried out by workers of the Uzhgorod "Pancom" LLC.
