From 2 to 6 of July, the XII International festival-contest of young poets and writers, journalists, artists, photographers, songwriters and literature artists "Rekitske Suzirya-2015" will take place in the town of Mizhhirya, the website of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.
This year, the children’s festival will be held under the auspices of the UNESCO International Centre and the slogan: "Love Ukraine as a mother!", "Great God, the Holy One, guard our Ukraine and peace." Also, on the eve of the the International Festival, a memorial bonfire and lamps will be lit near the stele of the Heaven’s Hundred and fallen residents of Mizhhirya.
The geography of the twelfth festival participants is Transcarpathian, Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Odesa, Ternopil, Mykolayiv, Bukovina regions. Contestants from Russia, France, Poland, United States will participate distantly.
The participants will be competing for medals in seven categories: poetry, prose, journalism, illustration, artistic photos, songwriting and literary and artistic composition.
There will also be a collective climb to the Mount Kychera-Vulychna, tours of the Verkhovyna, its natural attractions and historical and cultural sites, as well as book presentations and meetings with interesting creative personalities.
