Recently, Uzhgorod mayor announced on Facebook the idea to build a classic outdoor CrossFit and workout playground in Uzhgorod. Since then, the mayor says, the guys from the NGO "Radical changes" (A. Zatsarynny) and the NGO "Street Workout Uzhgorod" (V. Rushchak) have drafted a project of the open public playground. Currently, the materials have been submitted to Uzhgorod city council. Bohdan Andriyiv is convinced that the project will be supported by Uzhgorod residents, because its implementation will give the opportunity to work out to all townspeople, regardless of age and financial situation.
Internet has responded to these statements. Uzhgorod residents, in particular, wrote:
"In Uzhgorod, there is no place for children to play basketball. Very few hoops. Not to mention normal flooring. Basketball hoops should be in every large yard. And outdoor playgrounds too."
"We need to make at least several playgrounds. Bozdosh park is not suitable for everyone. A lot of people work out in the Spartak (they would like to have such a playground too).
"Peremoha Park (Kirpichka) would be the best place. ))) Somewhere in the area, where some church wanted to chop off a piece of land. Just occupy the place and make any further encroachments impossible. Like: "That’s it. It’s a sports field for youth. We are not moving it."
