The car burned last night in Uzhgorod is owned by Igor Dir, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine. 
Transcarpathian journalist Vitaliy Glagola reported that on his telegram channel.
"At night, a Mercedes was burnt down on Slovyanska Embankment, near the Venezia restaurant. According to my information, the car belongs to Igor Dir, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine. He worked for a long time as the ambassador of Ukraine to Switzerland. I didn’t want to publish it until I get the confirmation. It was confirmed that the car was burned down. Surveillance cameras recorded the arsonist. I will try to get the footage from the cameras. In the meantime, here’s the video from a subscriber of my telegram channel who was passing by and filmed the fire," – Glagola wrote.
Earlier, we reported that the police opened proceedings under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code, ie intentional destruction of or damage to property by arson.
