In Khust district another village celebrated its anniversary on Sunday. This is the village of Iza, which celebrated 635 anniversary. The local stadium attracted many visitors, among them honored guests – the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council – Ivan Baloha, chairman of the Khust District Council – Vasyl Hubal, Deputy of the Regional Council – Pavlo Baloha.
It should be noted that the residents of this village are very hard working people. Almost 6000 inhabitants live here. Vasyl Hubal, the chairman of the Khust District Council says that Iza is one of the few villages that fill the district treasury.
The feast is a traditional and expected in early September. A wonderful music and singing performed by renowned local stars, entertainment and rides on the carousel, various souvenirs and Transcarpathian cuisine left nobody indifferent.
The Chairman of the Regional Council Ivan Baloha congratulated the residents of the capital of Transcarpathian wickerwork. "These events bring together the community. Residents of Iza are known far beyond the region as wicker work craftsmen. They are very fond of their land, and as shown by the celebration know how to have fun" – said the head of the council.
On the occasion the Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloha presented diplomas.
The celebration program included the karaoke show. Highlight of the celebration was the performance of Honored Artist of Ukraine – Nadiya Kopcha. She warmed up the audience. At the end of the grand celebration the village residents and guests enjoyed thirty-kilograms cake and admired the variety of fireworks – informs the press service of the regional council.
