The Cabinet of Ministers has lifted restrictions on salaries of soldiers – participants of the ATO

The Cabinet of Ministers lifted restrictions on the salaries of military personnel – participants of the ATO, border guards and members of security units, starting from May 1.

This is stated in the decree of the Government №578.

The measures to conserve public funds and prevent budget expenditures shall not apply to calculation of the maximum amount of monthly salary, accrued to military personnel and management staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection, who participate in the ATO, take measures to ensure law and order at the state border, repel armed attack on the protected facilities and liberation of these facilities in case of capture or attempted forcible seizure of weapons, military equipment, for relevant month, starting from May 1, 2014.

Earlier, the Ministry of Social Policy noted that about 5-6 thousand soldiers, who have been mobilized and fought in the area of the antiterrorist operation in the east, may receive the status of combatants.
