The bypass road in the village of Rakoshyno requires almost half a billion hryvnia

At the fourth plenary meeting of the second session of the Regional Council, deputies sent the appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on financing of the construction of the bypass in the village of Rakoshyno in Mukachevo district.

The document states that, being on the border with four EU countries, Transcarpathia serves as Western gateway for foreign economic cooperation and integration of Ukraine into the European Economic Area. A large volume of domestic cargo and transit export-import traffic goes through the region.

The development of road transport infrastructure of major highways plays an important role in this process, so the state of roads in the region, including the highway Kyiv-Chop, is of a particular concern.

In recent years, deputies have repeatedly raised before the central authorities the issue of the necessity to provide funding and continuation of the construction of the bypass road in the village of Rakoshyno in Mukachevo district on the road of common use M-06 Kyiv – Chop.

Despite repeated appeals of deputies of the regional council, regional state administration, local government to the central government on this issue, there has been no progress in its resolution.

According to the initial construction documents, the cost of the capital construction of bypass road in the village of Rakoshyno amounted to UAH 153.6 million. Currently, the design estimates require adjustment because of its obsolescence and the need to harmonize it with new national standards of pricing for capital investments, financing of construction and procurement procedure. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of the capital construction of the bypass road in the village of Rakoshyno will be about UAH 450.0 million.

Given the above, to ensure road safety, completion of the capital construction of the facility on the road of national importance in the region, members of the Transcarpathian Regional Council ask the Government to take measures to provide necessary funding from the state budget for the completion of the bypass road in the village of Rakoshyno in Mukachevo district on the road of common use M-06 Kyiv – Chop.
