The Deputy Director for Research Avtivity of the National Park "Synevyr" Yuriy Tyukh told about the proposed exansion of the National Park. According to him, currently the area of the park is 42,704 hectares. The proposed area for expansion of the park is comprised of the "Kamyanka" tract, lands of the Mizhhirya forestry in area of 377.8 hectares and reserve land of Mizhhirya district council in area of 197.7 hectares.

"After the expansion, the area of the park will be 43,279.5 ha and increased by 13 percent – Yuriy Tyuh said. Age-old forests, rare plant communities, mountain pine and alder forests are located in the area proposed for expansion", – the deputy director informed.

After discussing the matter, the working group members reviewed the cartographic materials, made comments and suggestions.
