One of the largest groups of illegal migrants was apprehended this afternoon in Transcarpathia by border guards of the department "Vylok" of the Mukachevo Detachment.
Border patrol found a large number of people 150 meters from the border with Hungary. Among the detainee. there were 15 men, 4 women and 3 children, including a baby. The detainees reported that they were citizens of Afghanistan, but did not have any documents.
Now, additional border patrols are checking the surrounding area and taking active measures to identify people possibly involved in the offense.
Recall that currently officers of the State Border Guard Service, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, SMS, SFS, border guard agencies of the European Union, are carrying out the joint operation "Frontier-2015". The operation is aimed at identifying channels of illegal migrants smuggling, likely routes of their movement, exposing and compromising existing channels of illegal activity on the territory of Ukraine, the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported.
