In Uzhgorod Press Club, there was the presentation of projects of Transcarpathian ethnographers for the 1120th anniversary of Uzhgorod. The most exciting project is the publication of the book by professor, historian Serhiy Fedaka "Uzhgorod: years and people."
According to Serhiy Fedaka, "Uzhgorod: years and people" is a chronological and bibliographical guidebook, which the city has always lacked. "The publication is dedicated to the anniversary of the city. I started working on it 15 years ago, at the typewriter, – Serhiy Fedaka says. – The guidebook presents the most detailed chronology of the history of Uzhgorod and the information on all persons, whose names streets bear".
The book was published by the "Lira" publishers, vintage postcards of Uzhgorod are used in the design of the cover. The author hopes that the book will be popular and plans to re-issue more copies, adding new information to some sections.
