August 17-19 festival-fair "Honey Spas" will take place in Uzhhorod.
Traditionally the celebration will be held on the Independence embankment. The best beekeepers of Transcarpathia will be selected at the festival by the Beekeepers Association. Honey-lovers may take parts in the festive program. The opening of the festival starts on August 18, at 12:00.
According to Volodymyr Lyakh, the Head of the Beekeepers’ Association of Transcarpathia, this festival will demonstrate the outcomes of beekeepers’ activities throughout the year. "Unfortunately, this year’s weather conditions were rather unfavorable for beekeeping because the summer was very hot," – says Mr. Lyakh.
