Every year, students of UzhNU visit orphanages of Transcarpathia with gifts. This year, they visited Beregovo specialized boarding school.
Both students and teachers were actively participating in the campaign. The chairman of the university student trade union Rostislav Holovchansky said: "During two weeks, students were bringing all sorts of things: toys, clothes and so on. Then chairmen of faculties’s trade union bureaus brought all that to the trade union. In addition, hygiene products, clothes and sweets were purchased. The teaching staff of the boarding school were very grateful for the gifts, because we visit this orphanage for the second consecutive year."
A student of the Faculty of History Oleksandr Varshava adds: "We were glad that kids remembered us. The trip to the boarding school, on the one hand, brought a lot of pleasure from communication with the children, on the other hand, we saw how much the kids miss parental affection, family warmth. Last year, we promised to come again and we fulfilled our promise!"
The kids were genuinely happy and actively participated in competitions and quizzes, recited poems, sang songs. And students willingly gave them candy, paint, pencils, notebooks, coloring.
