Due to avalanche hazard, a storm warning has been announced in Transcarpathia, – the UNN reported, citing the data from the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Hydrometeorology.
"During February 24-26, in the highlands of Transcarpathian region, due to rapid drop in the air temperature, a significant (level III) avalanche hazard is expected", – hydrometeorologists reported.
In addition, tomorrow, February 25, ice cover will remain on the roads in most of Transcarpathian region and Uzhgorod, in some places increase of northern wind up to 15-20 m / s is expected.
As reported by the UNN, during February 2018, there were five avalanches in the mountains in Transcarpathia – on the Plai and Bretskul mountains.
