The Government of the Slovak Republic is sending humanitarian aid for Ukrainian military. The humanitarian cargo, which consists of six large trucks, this morning crossed the Ukrainian-Slovak border at the crossing point "Uzhgorod – Vysne Nemecke."

Warm clothes and gear will be delivered to Ukrainian troops.  The cargo consists of shoes, sweaters, hats and warm jackets. In addition, there are also bandages, medical stretchers, mattresses, medicines, equipment for field kitchens.

"This is the humanitarian assistance for the Army of Ukraine from the Slovak government.  This cargo will be handed over to Ukrainian government by the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic who is on an official visit to Kyiv. This is not the first aid we provide to Ukrainian people in this difficult time for them. Last year, we gave things for the army, equipment and medicines for medical facilities. Next week we plan to deliver some more medications for the Red Cross" – the Consul General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod Janka Burianova said.

The cargo at the checkpoint was received by representatives of the regional authorities, including the first deputy chairman of the regional council Mykhailo Popovich, who thanked the Slovak partners for their assistance.
