Several objects of the nature reserve fund of local importance have been created in Transcarpathia

The aim is to expand the network of nature reserve fund by preservation of virgin forests of the region.

During the second plenary meeting of the 9th session of the regional council of the seventh convocation, the deputies approved the decision to create the objects of the natural reserve fund of local importance. The relevant document, which ensures the compliance with the requirements of the legislation on ​​protection and conservation of biological and landscape diversity, natural ecosystems of the region, was signed by the chairman of the regional council Mykhailo Rivis.

These are the protected tract "Bereznyky virgin forests" on the area of ​​385.5 hectares, the reserve tract "Borzhava virgin forests" on the area of ​​853.5 hectares remaining the property of the land user – the state enterprise "Svalyava forestry", as well as the reserve tract "Ust -Chorna virgin forests" on the area of ​​425.8 hectares remaining the property of the land user – the state enterprise" Mokra forestry".

The Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration should then amend the List of Territories and Objects of the National and Local Nature Reserve Fund located on the territory of Transcarpathian Region.

The control over the implementation of this decision is entrusted to the first deputy head of the Regional State Administration and the relevant standing commission of the regional council on ecology and use of natural resources.
