Serhiy Fedaka presented the most complete history of Transcarpathia in dates

A press conference on the occasion of the release of the new book by Serhiy Fedaka "History of Transcarpathia in Dates and Events" took place in the Uzhgorod Press Club.

     It is the most compact version of the history of the region in its entirety – the first of its kind in local historiography. 160 pages contain about 2000 dates from the appearance of the first man to February 2016, when the book was put to print. In particular, the dates of first mentions of most of our settlements, the main events of political, economic and cultural history of the region.

     The author Serhiy Fedaka, Professor of History of Ukraine of UzhNU told about the book and the process of its creation: "Today, there is a social demand for such information, objective presentation of history. Especially since the history of Transcarpathia is very eventful and unlike the history of other regions. There is something to write bout – our history is interesting and unexpected in many ways."

The new, 22nd book of the author "History of Transcarpathia in Dates and Events" is the chronology of our region, which contains important information about key milestones in the history of the region. The book of Serhiy Fedaka includes date from ancient times of prehistoric tribes (almost one million years ago) to February 21, 2016. In general, it consists of four large chapters.

The book was published by the "IBA" publishing house, the professor self-financed its publication.
