Schools of the city are re-opened on Monday, February 18! Officially, – O. Bilak

Quarantine in Uzhgorod was not extended, according to Oleksandr Bilak, the deputy mayor of the city. Members of the commission reported that the incidence rate had dropped. Over the past week – by 7%, and over this week – by another 20%. The epidemic situation in the city of Uzhgorod has a tendency to decrease back to the usual level of morbidity. 7-8% of sick people were hospitalized, more than half of those are children under 4 years. Doctors now recommend to re-open schools. Not only the total number of sick people has reduced, but also the number of patients with complications requiring in-patient treatment. This year, quarantine was introduced not at the peak of the epidemic, but at the beginning of it which allowed to stop the spread of the disease. However, the second wave of epidemic can not be ruled out yet. Monitoring of the situation continues.
