Running away from border guards, hunters threw away their weapons and carcasses of dead animals

Four citizens of Ukraine, who were engaged in illegal hunting, were detained at dawn in Transcarpathia.

At night, border guards noticed the unknown men using a thermal vision complex. Operational units of the Border Guard Service soon detected a vehicle in this area and heard gun shots.

 Border guards stopped the car "Volkswagen" 7 km from the border line in the village of Chepa in Vynogradiv district of Transcarpathian region. There were 4 citizens of Ukraine inside. Later, they found a hunting rifle and a package with carcasses of dead hares, that the offenders had thrown away during the chase.

The detained citizens, the vehicle, the rifle and the animal carcasses were handed over to the police.

The report on the detection of a criminal offense under Art. 248 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Illegal hunting" was sent to Vynogradiv Police Department in Transcarpathian region.
