Romantics Mendelssohn and Grieg on the stage of the Regional Philharmonic (ANNOUNCEMENT)

On June 13, the symphony orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic invites you to enjoy the music of the founder of the Norwegian composer school Edward Grieg and the outstanding representative of German romanticism Felix Mendelssohn. The music of the former will be represented by the Concerto for piano with orchestra in A minor performed by Anastasia Dzisyak, our talented girl, who has been living and studying for many years abroad. She received musical education at Uzhgorod Children’s School of Arts (teacher – Inga Dyerke) and Uzhgorod State Music College (teacher – Marianna Sokach).

The second part of the program will be "Midsummer Night’s Dream" by F. Mendelsohn – music to the eponymous comedy by W. Shakespeare. It is an enchanting piece that reveals us another facet of the genius playwright. A recognized realist, in this work, he let his imagination run wild – filled the play with fantastic creatures and fairy-tale events, as if inspired by dreams. By creating music for this comedy, Mendelssohn gave the world a real masterpiece. We will hear it performed by the symphony orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic and soloists – Honored Artist of Ukraine Svitlana Hleba (soprano) and Oksana Shcherbata (soprano). Conductor – Honored Artist of Ukraine Victoria Svalyavchyk-Tsanko. The event will be hosted by the music historian Natalia PITSUR.

The concert starts at 18.30.
