Robert Horvat has become co-chair of the parliamentary group on inter-parliamentary relations with the Czech Republic

The decision was adopted by members of the group on Thursday, October 31, during an organizational meeting. In addition to Robert Horvat, the group will also be chaired by deputy of the Servant of the People faction Rostislav Tistyk. “We continue to work on establishing effective cooperation between Ukraine and our European partners.
Today, the first meeting of the parliamentary group on inter-parliamentary relations with the Czech Republic took place, and I was elected the chairman of the group. I am grateful to my colleagues for their trust and I can say right away that we have a lot of work ahead,” – Robert Horvat said after the meeting.
According to the parliamentarian, Ukraine, and in particular Transcarpathia, has a long history of friendship and cooperation with the Czech Republic, both at the national and regional levels. Now, the task of the deputy group should be to develop cooperation of the parliaments of the two countries. “That’s what we will be working on in the near future. The ultimate goal is the development and support of education and science programs, enhanced economic cooperation, implementation of joint investment projects, support to the business sector, cooperation and exchange of experience between government agencies, tourism development, environmental protection and management. Goals are ambitious, but achievable,” – Horvat said.
