Retro-races will take place this Sunday in Uzhgorod!

Dungracing championship of Uzhhorod will take place in the Bozdosh Park on Sunday, July 28.

The name "dungracing" comes from the word "dungov", which means moped in the Transcarpathian dialect. Dungracing is a sprint race for 201 m (1/8 mile) with maximum speed. Traditional "dungovs" are retro-motorcycles with an engine capacity of up to fifty cubic meters.

The purpose of the event is popularization of technical sports, support and development of historical transport.

Schedule of competitions:
10.00 – registration of competition participants, technical commission, inspection of the route;
10.30 – drawing and briefing for drivers;
11.00 – official opening of the competition;
11.30 – start of the races in different categories;
14.30 – super-race of the winners, awarding of prize winners.

The race will be held with the support of the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports of Uzhgorod City Council.
