Rescuers helped a tourist, who was poisoned by wild mushrooms in the mountains

On September 9, at 11:00, the rescuers were informed that there was an unconscious person near the 10th support of the chair lift in the village of Pylypets in Mizhhirya district. Mountain search and rescue crew of Mizhhirya consisting of 4 rescuers in a car was sent to help the victim.

Upon arrival, the rescuers provided first aid and brought the man to life. The victim was a 25-year-old resident of the city of Poltava, who is currently living in a hippie settlement near the Shypit waterfall. He told the rescuers that he had eaten some wild mushrooms after which he lost consciousness.

He refused from further assistance and hospitalization to a medical institution, and continued his trip on his own.

Rescuers warn residents and guests of Transcarpathia against collecting and eating wild mushrooms.
