The Head of the Regional State Administration signed a decree "On conducting public hearings", whereby obliged the head of Tyachiv district state administration to ensure the holding of public hearings to take into account the public interest in the development of urban planning documentation for the construction of a mini-HPP cascade on the Teresva river outside the villages of Kalyny, Hanychi and Bedevlya. The decree was the response to the numerous appeals of the residents of the village of Hanychi, who categorically oppose the construction of mini-HPPs, however, they can not express their opinion at public hearings due to blockage by the village leadership.
As stated in the document, in case of failure to conduct appropriate public hearings, as provided for by the legislation, the relevant orders of the head of the Tyachiv Regional State Administration on the development of a detailed plan for the construction of small hydroelectric power stations outside the settlements of Tyachiv district will be cancelled.
Recall that the residents of Khust district blocked the road to stop the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power plant on the Rika river.
