Posthumous awards: Transcarpathian Heroes were honored for courage

The Decree of the President of Ukraine № 144/2015 "On awarding state awards of Ukraine" has been published.

Thus, for personal courage and professionalism displayed in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, residents of Beregovo TYMOSHCHUK Mykhailo (posthumously) – senior soldier and TYURIKOV Oleg (posthumously) – junior sergeant were awarded with the order "For courage" of the III degree. Recall that the same award was given to Roland Popovich in July last year, – the Beregszasznews informed.

Among other heroes, servicemen of the 128th Mountain Infantry Brigade from Transcarpathia were honored: HOPONKO Vitaliy (posthumously) – sergeant, IHNATYSHYN Oleksandr (posthumously) – junior sergeant, KISH Stanislav (posthumously) – soldier, MARTYNIUK Vasyl (posthumously) – soldier , STETS Pavlo (posthumously) – senior sergeant.

Earlier, the President awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky of the III degree (posthumously) to captains Mykola Budz, Dmytro Georgiev and Yuriy Bilobrov. The Order "For courage" of the III degree was posthumously awarded to captain Mykola Zhuk, lieutenant colonel Boris Sereda, soldiers Mykhailo Kulya and Serhiy Martin, junior sergeant Oleksandr Popadynets, Wilhelm Stolzel
