Poroshenko does not support owners of cars with foreign registration

Recently, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko visited the international checkpoint "Yahodyn", the Mukachevo.net informs. After the visit, he clearly stated that he did not support illegal actions of the drivers of vehicles with foreign registration.

– When we were at the "Yahodyn", I saw a car with Lithuanian license plates: a Ukrainian was behind the wheel. I asked him, "Are you going to stay here five days?" He said, "Mr. President, what are you talking about? Of course, more than five days." He actually said that to me. And how are you going to do that? Well, I’ll bribe somebody, figure something out, – the zn.ua quoted Poroshenko.

This answer outraged the President.

– No, my friends, this will not do. Bribery will not do. This is not the way it should be done. And there should be coordination of our actions. Why do some persons have to pay taxes, excise duties, while others just bribe? There must be our common position, there must be equal conditions for everyone – Poroshenko said.

Earlier, on May 24, in Kyiv, drivers of cars with foreign license plates blocked one of the main streets.

They demanded to adopt the bill №5567 on regulation of the transit and temporary import of cars with foreign registration for personal use. It will allow drivers to legally ride in cars with foreign registration for a certain fee.
