The training in emergency medical aid for employees of the municipal police, carriers and drivers took place today in the building of Uzhgorod city council.
According to the head of the city Department of Health Vasyl Reshetar, it is the beginning of a cycle of trainings for different categories of workers to teach them to provide first aid before the arrival of medics, that could save someone life. Even those, who have already had such training and have a certificate, need to have their knowledge and skills updated and improved.
The head of the casualty department of Uzhgorod City Hospital Oleksandr Urovsky explained which first steps need to be done, how to determine, for example, if there is a pulse, if it is not felt at the wrist, which is the difference between venous and arterial bleeding, more.
Doctor of the Transcarpathian regional center of emergency medical aid Eric Hleba showed practical techniques, including some from the experience of saving wounded soldiers in the ATO area with fractures, bleeding, etc.
The participants practiced the techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a dummy.
