Uzhgorod Criminal Police Department is identifying all people involved in telephone scams in the regional center. Law enforcers warn against any interactions with those individuals and ask to help identify one of the persons involved in these crimes.
As previously reported, a number of fraudulent actions have been reported to the Uzhgorod Police Department this week. The police found out that at different times of the day, unknown persons would call citizens and try to cheat them out of their money. In some cases, the scammers posed as law enforcement officers giving knowingly false information about the possible involvement of their relatives in criminal offenses and suggested to solve the problem in exchange for cash.
Uzhgorod Criminal Police Department asks citizens to provide any known information about the man, who was recorded by surveillance cameras when receiving money in this illegal way. In addition, the Transcarpathian police warns against any financial transactions with strangers.
