Personal exhibition of theater artist Emma Zaitseva opened in Lviv (PHOTOS)

Yesterday, April 5, at the invitation of the only Gallery of Theater Artists (Set Design Gallery) in Ukraine, the personal exhibition of Uzhgorod theater artist, Honored Art Worker of Ukraine, the art director of the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater Emma Zaitseva opened in Lviv.

"This is the first such exhibition outside of Transcarpathia. When we were driving here, we wondered what the Lviv public would think of it. Because there are many creative people here, with refined tastes, so their opinion is important", – Emma Zaitseva said.

The exhibition featured author’s works – sketches of costumes, set design pieces, theater poster, costumes and headgear for theater productions in Transcarpathia. Recall that last year in the Uzhgorod historical and cultural center "Owl’s Nest", Emma Zaitseva held a personal exhibition, during which dozens of set design pieces were presented. Some of them were brought to Lviv, for example, "Retro" (for "Gypsy Aza"), for "Nazar Stodolya", there are some exhibits that have not yet been used on the stage – "Silva" and "Christmas Story".

At the exhibition opening ceremony, Oleg Oneshchak, the founder of the Set Design Gallery, actor at the Lviv Academic Theater, said that the collective of the gallery aims to unite representatives of various theaters, to promote the exchange of experience and impressions between the artists, and this exhibition was another opportunity towards this goal.

The meeting was moderated by Oleg Zaitsev, the deputy director of the Transcarpathian Regional Music and Drama Theater. The organizer of the international theatrical festival "Monologs on the Uzh", the head of the editorial board of the newspaper "Nedilya Zakarpatski oholoshennya" Mykhailo Nosa.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by well-known Lviv theater artists, directors, actors, playwrights, who congratulated Emma Zaitseva on the important art event. The exhibition was also attended by students of the department of theater studies and acting of the faculty of culture and arts of the Ivan Franko National University in Lviv.

The exhibition will last until April 17 at the following address: Lviv, Set Design Gallery, Horodotska st., 36, it is held with the support of the Lviv Interregional Department of the National Union of Theater Workers of Ukraine, the Association of Set Designers of Ukraine, Uzhgorod City Council.
