Personal data from information request to Uzhgorod Mayor have again been published on Ratushnyak’s site

Following the story with publication of personal data of public activist Victoria Ryzhova in municipal newspaper "Uzhgorod", government of the regional centre again showed its attitude to journalists and their work.

Today, October 15, one of the sites owned by the former Uzhgorod mayor Serhiy Ratushnyak published a scanned information request which had been sent to Uzhhorod city council by newspaper journalist and registered in general department of the City Hall. Moreover, the publication contains a phone number and email address of the journalist, which is the violation of law on personal data protection.

In response to the question of how this request could have appeared in a network, the general department of the City Council responded that the document had been printed and submitted to the reception of Mayor Victor Pogorelov. Victor assured the chief editor of "Staryj Zamok" Larysa Podolyak that he had no clue how this could happen, maybe someone could have his email hacked. However, it should be kept in mind that request of Victoria Ryzhova was published thanks just to Pogorelov.

Newspaper "Saryj Zamok" shall send the application to the Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
