People’s deputies from Transcarpathia reminded the Government about the urgent need to develop a procedure for compensations for the installation of gas meters

People’s deputies Robert Horvat, Valeriy Lunchchenko and Vasyl Petyovka sent the relevant request to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman. On Wednesday, March 13, Robert Horvat informed about this on his Facebook page.

"Valeriy Lunchchenko, Vasyl Petyovka and I once again appealed to the Government because of the situation on the gas supply market of Ukraine. This time, we drew attention to the need to develop and approve a resolution that would enable Ukrainians to receive compensation from the state for self-installed gas meters at home," – the deputy wrote.

According to Robert Horvat, the Cabinet of Ministers should develop the procedure and determine the amount of such compensations.

"The Law of Ukraine "On ensuring commercial accounting of natural gas" specifies that citizens who installed gas meters in 2018 have the right to compensation within 12 months. Therefore, there is no time to delay the adoption of a resolution. Otherwise, thousands of Ukrainians will lose the opportunity to get the compensation guaranteed by the law. We consider such situation unacceptable and we expect a quick response and solution of this problem by the Cabinet of Ministers," – Robert Horvat said.
