People, let’s help Kasperov count dangerous manholes!

Once we published the information from today’s executive committee meeting – that manholes in the city may finally be covered – the people immediately responded to the problem.

We remind that the mayor once again ordered the Director of the Department of Municipal Economy Oleksiy Kasperov to carry out the inventory of manholes (involving all services that have underground utilities) and to replace missing covers. So, citizens expressed their willingness to help the official in this hard work that he has been failing to do.

For example, in the group "Uzhgorod" in social network facebook, a city resident Oleksandr lists several addresses, he says: "On Zahorska street, up to the new bridge there is not a single cover!Dovzhenko, Brashchayky streets – no covers!"  Another citizen, Mr. Volodymyr mentioned one manhole, but a really dangerous one: "On Kapitulna street up the cathedral, the manhole is covered with some piece of iron, which for years has been in a state of unstable equilibrium. This tricky design every day waits for its next victim. One step – and you are down deep in… you know what. Local old-timers count the victims of this trap – already several dozens people have been caught there, at least three of them received serious injuries."  

By the way, the participants of bicycle Night Rides once also monitored dangerous places and even drew a map. But for now, the Department somehow has not been too interested in this information. Nevertheless, we invite other residents of the city to point out dangerous uncovered manholes and help Kasperov to cope with the task.
