On September 21, 34-year-old independent candidate for deputies of Ukraine in constituency number 72 centered in Tyachiv, was arrested and taken to a police temporary detention of Tyachiv police station, where he is now.
The man had been wanted in relation to a criminal case over the fact of committing crimes under part 3, part 4 of Art. 190, part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud in a large scale and misappropriation, embezzlement, or obtaining property through malpractice).
In addition, the candidate is charged with 8 more crimes related to appropriation of funds by fraud and breach of trust and embezzlement of funds in a large scale, which he committed during August 2008 – April 2010. As a result of his criminal actions he illegally possessed almost 2,900,000 UAH.
The course of preliminary investigation in the criminal case is controlled by the prosecutor of the region – said the press service of the Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region
