Painful topic: how the Transcarpathian authorities hope to solve the “garbage” problem

Solid waste has been a painful topic for Transcarpathia for many years.

This was reported by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. In particular, he writes that the next steps to solve the garbage problem in Transcarpathia are being taken. Today, he met with the management of the Spanish Association of Capital Goods Manufacturers "Sercobe" and "IMABE IBERICA" – one of the European leaders in the production of equipment for processing and disposal of solid waste

The meeting was introductory, as it is too early to talk about the specifics, until the final adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On Waste Management", which is expected in September-October. However, it is obvious that abroad is aware of the innovations that will soon take place in Ukraine in this area: the introduction of the "polluter pays" principle, the introduction of extended liability of packaging manufacturers and attracting investment in construction of recycling plants.

The Spaniards offer a full range of equipment – from the construction of huge plants to generate electricity from garbage – to mobile waste sorting complexes, which would be very fitting in our mountains.
