Owners of luxury cars will replenish the city budget

At the regular session of Uzhgorod City Council, the deputies plan to adopt the Regulation on motor vehicle tax.

According to the draft document, the payers of the motor vehicle tax will be physical and legal persons who have their own cars registered in Ukraine under the law. The object of taxation is the cars that have been in use for up to 5 years and have the engine volume of more than 3,000 cubic cm.

The tax rate is set per calendar year in the amount of

25,000 UAH for each car. The tax shall be paid at the place of registration of the tax object and credited to the budget of Uzhgorod.  The motor vehicle tax shall be paid by: individuals – within 60 days from the date of delivery of notice; by legal entities – in quarterly advance payments before the 30th day of the month following the reporting quarter that are reflected in the yearly tax return.
