The commission inspection of highways will be held until October 20 by specialists of regional Motorway Services together with representatives of the regional road traffic police departments, Ukrainian Railways, Ukrainian Transport Inspectorate and community organizations.
During inspections, specially established commissions of experts will assess the state of roadway pavement, curbs, sidewalks, facilities ensuring traffic control and visibility on the roads of both the state and local levels.
In addition, the experts will check the readiness of production units for road maintenance in winter period and for emergencies due to a sharp deterioration of weather conditions.
The experts will pay special attention to emergency and dangerous roads, places with high accident occurrence rate, restoration of lighting and proper maintenance of easement and roadside areas.
The detected deficiencies in road maintenance will be recorded in special reports, where they also indicate lists of necessary measures and deadlines for elimination thereof – the Turystychni Novyny reported referring to the Ukrautodor.
