As we reported, in Uzhgorod, owners of cheap foreign cars are blocking the border crossing point again.

This time, the protesters blocked the checkpoint "Uzhgorod-cargo". This choice of the protest address was explained by one of the activists. They say that if they had blocked the passenger checkpoint, the common people would have suffered, and the cargo checkpoints are used by politicians to make money. For now, long queues of trucks have formed on the bypass road Uzhgorod because of the blockage.

Interestingly, the protest took place without loud announcements and without the people who are known as activists from the group of the owners of cars with foreign registration. Rumor has it that it is a "new" group which "seceded" from those, who blocked the border before. Also, the protest is linked to tomorrow’s visit of Mikheil Saakashvili, who is expected to intervene in the matter of foreign car registration.
