On the occassion of the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, a new book was presented in Uzhgorod

Yesterday, in the main library of the region, Iryna Harmasiy and Ivan Fitsay presented the book "Fragments of Maidan" in Ukrainian and Czech languages, dedicated to the third anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity.

   The book was published thanks to the Charity Fund "Caritas" in the Czech Republic and published under the educational project at the expense of the grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The presented book is valuable because Czech youth will be studying modern history of Ukraine with it. The publication will be distributed among Czech schools and public libraries.

"Fragments of Maidan" is about the participants of the Revolution of Dignity. It has time limits – November 21, 2013 to February 22, 2014. According to Irina Harmasiy: "The book captures emotions and fragments of lives of the people who were there at that time." The geography of eyewitnesses is very wide. Those are representatives of various Ukrainian cities, including: Kyiv, Kalush, Uzhgorod, Nadvirna, Tyachiv, Poltava, Borislav, Vynogradiv, Teresva, Beregovo and the city of Simferopol.  In total, the book consists of 26 stories of people of different professions – architect, historian, priest, musician, MP, surgeon, teacher, journalist, doctor, students, writers and volunteers.  

The book "Fragments of Maidan" is dedicated to those, who fought and who continue to fight for a better future of Ukraine, all Heroes of the Heaven’s Hundred, those who have not returned home or returned with severe injuries and also those are still considered missing after the Revolution of Dignity.
