On the borders of Ukraine and the EU, two “Germans” and an “American” were detained

Three attempts of illegal import of vehicles to Ukraine were stopped at the borders of Ukraine with Hungary and Slovakia.

At the checkpoint "Tisa", the border guards had suspicion about a minibus "Mercedes" with a trailer driven by our compatriot, who was driving from Hungary. During a joint in-depth inspection of the car, border guards and customs officers found out that the factory identification number of the car body was forged. The minibus was confiscated and evaluated at 126 500 UAH.

Two more illegal dealings were detected by border guards at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod" on the border with Slovakia. The minivan "Chrysler" (released in 1997) registered in Slovakia and the sedan "BMW" (released in 1998) registered in Lithuania were confiscated from our fellow citizens who tried to cross the border with forged power of attorney for operation of the vehicles. The representative of the American auto industry is estimated at 61,000 UAH, the cost of the "Bavarian" is currently being established.
