On the eve of New Year’s holidays, Transcarpathian Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater will present the second premiere of this season – the popular Christmas tale by German writer E. T. A. Hoffmann "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King." This work is known primarily due to Tchaikovsky’s ballet. However, the director of the Transcarpathian production Oleksandr Sarkisyants decided to abandon the classical music and stage the story as a dramatic performance.
Almost the entire cast of the theater is involved in the production. Beautiful costumes designed by Lyudmyla Byela, musical numbers by choreographer Victor Babuka, acting performances by both famous masters of the stage Yaroslav Melets, Larysa Bilak, and younger actors Svitlana Tazinher, Roman Zhohin, Monica Palfi, Yuri Mocharko will give the audience a wonderful Christmas mood.
The premiere of the play "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" will be held on Sunday, December 27, at 12.00. After that, during the press conference, the staff of the theater will tell more about the premiere, as well as plans for next year.
