Nezalezhnist embankment in Uzhgorod will be renamed (Document)

Part of Nezalezhnist embankment will be named after Ignatius Roshkovich. He is considered "the first professional painter of Uzhgorod", the artist is one of the people who made the city famous in the world and there is a monument to him on Teatralna Square.

Naming part of the embankment (by the was, the part from Teatralna Square to Korzo Street) in honor of Roshkovich, the city recovers historical truth – the embankment used to have his name.The document on renaming was posted by the Deputy Mayor Yaroslav Shafar.
