Roma activist about the visit of Pogorelov to the camp: “Hunting season has begun!”

Roma movement activist, journalist Miroslav Horvath reported interesting information in his facebook. It seems that pre-election period has already started. Here is what Miroslav writes.

"Twice former Mayor Victor Pogorelov visited "Radvanka". The purpose of his visit was to meet with Roma on Uzhanska street, at the very end of it, near the two-storey building. According to residents, Pogorelov was telling them that they deserved a better life… That in Uzhgorod, in particular on "Radvanka", the situation with Roma is very difficult. And he blamed all that on the new head of the city (?)… Interesting. Roma of course were "very pleased" that you came to us. But today it is not relevant anymore…".

Miroslav explains his principled position, emphasizing especially for the ex-mayor: "What’s bad about this is that you visited us when you are not able to help… Only to promise heaven on earth."

He says: "…I personally, when the city was headed by Mr. Pogorelov, many times wanted to reach out to him with Roma problems… Everybody remembers very well how a year ago Pogorelov-Belyakov "solved" the problem of Roma on Thalmann and Hranitna streets…".

Horvath says: "Roma are the most susceptible to manipulation stratum of our society. Especially for political purposes. And they are used by those who want to keep the power at any price. Do we need people from the past in the power today? Especially, from the past that we remember very well. I want to believe that some day all these petty affairs of our "great" politicians and business executives will be gone… May God save Ukraine!"
