New “Electrons” have arrived in Uzhgorod

The first three of the 10 high-capacity "Electron" buses purchased this year for the municipal transport enterprise have arrived in Uzhgorod today. The rest should be coming soon.
According to the mayor Bohdan Andriyiv, the buses were bought under financial leasing. It is planned that the buses will be running on the new route connecting Dravtsi, Novy neighbourhood, Sobranetska, Zakarpatska, Zahorska, Griboyedov streets, UzhNU and covering more than 30 stops in total. The tender will be announced soon, it will solve the problem of bus service to remote areas of the city, and Uzhgorod residents will be able to ride without lay-offs and not pay twice, Bohdan Andriyiv said. The manufacturer, according to the mayor, took into account the wishes of the "Uzhgorod municipal transport" management, drivers, passengers, so the new buses have some technical improvements compared to the same models purchased last year.
 
First, the buses will undergo registration procedures, after which the company will participate in the tender for transportation on the new route 24, it is planned that most of the buses purchased this year will serve it. According to Uzhgorod City Council, several "Electrons" will be left in the reserve in case of unforeseen situations.
